SCHULPHOEK PUBLIC PARTICIPATION. MUNICIPAL MANAGER ZYBRAND DEFIES BREDELL'S DEPARTMENT

Beach Club set back 22m above MSL would now be illegal - set back now 100m

This posting gives the background to post SCHULPHOEK PPP HITS A CUL-DE-SAC 8 Jan 2011

The Department of Environmental Affairs has ruled that a full Public Participation Process has to be done on Schulphoek before the Record of Decision (ROD) can be renewed and extended as it expired on the the 1st September 2010.

The Overstrand Municipal manager Werner Zybrands has defied the department and is refusing to acknowledge the validity of the ruling.

Read the correspondence below between the Provincial department and the Overstrand Municipality.

This should prove an interesting month for Adv Zybrands once the gears of 2011 kick in!

SCHULPHOEK PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PROCESS (PPP): DEVELOPERS HIT A CUL-DE-SAC WITH MUNICIPALITY BEHIND THE WHEEL

The Schulphoek coastal property is the center foreground undeveloped dark shaded area

WATCH THIS SPACE VERY CLOSELY!

This is where the wheels come off for the Overstrand municipality.
Reason: Simple, they are now playing the role of the land owner and developer and are actively resisting and sabotaging the directives of the Dept of Environmental Affaires. Behind the driving seat and architect of this resistance campaign is Werner Zybrands, the Overstrand municipal manager (previously Mayor Beyleveldt co pilot)

Talking about sedition, municipal manager Werner Zybrands, we all remember when you accused attorney Deon Malherbe of sedition. Well now, being an ex advocate, you should know, shouldnt you!
